Summer Internships
Ministry Internships at Galion Church of the Nazarene
Two part-time internships, 10 hours per week, in a close-knit church of 50 and under. Interns are known, mentored, and given real responsibility from day one.
Worship Ministry Intern
Work alongside our worship leadership to plan services, choose songs, lead weekly rehearsals (Wednesdays at 5:30 and Sundays at 9:00), and help lead worship on Sundays. You’ll learn that worship is more than music, and grow in leading musicians, vocalists, and a congregation.
Children’s Ministry Intern
Work alongside our children’s ministry leaders to strengthen programs, review and recommend curriculum, and help plan and run a summer outreach event for children and families. You’ll learn what it takes to build a ministry that points kids to Jesus and partners with parents.
For both internships
Broader experience: Serve in other areas such as youth, outreach, evangelism, hospitality, visitation, discipleship, and church-wide events. If you want to try several areas, you can work with the pastor to build a rotation instead of focusing on one.
Mentoring: Regular meetings with the pastor for encouragement, guidance, and spiritual growth, including help discovering your spiritual gifts and calling.
Time: Everything stays within 10 hours a week.
